Christmas Day!

Isabel woke up at about 4:00 in the morning on Christmas Day. I was able to get her a bottle and put her back to sleep, but it woke up the big kids and they went to Grandma and Grandpa's room and woke them up super early. I guess Grandma and Grandpa were able to get the boys back to sleep, but Lexi was too excited. I don't remember what time Isabel got up again, but by the time that happened, the rest were chomping at the bit to get downstairs.

I love the ooh's and aw's and the excitement as they look around and see that Santa has come. They know to get their stockings out first.

We tried to keep things simple this year. We got them something they wanted, something they needed, something to wear and something to read as well as one wish from Santa.

Tyler wanted: Robots

He needed: A new watch
To wear: Olaf shirt and socks and underwear
To read: Ninjago Character Encyclopedia
Wished for from Santa: A robot dog

Bryce wanted: Dominos

To wear: Olaf shirt and socks and underwear
To read: Lego Idea book
Wish from Santa: Marble Run
 Lexi wanted: A new doll
Lexi Needed: Swimsuit

After presents, we had our Christmas morning Blueberry French Toast

The rest of the day was spent playing with toys:
 Reading new books:
Dressing up:

 A boy and "his dog"
Who says Mom can't play with the toys too?
New headlamp for safer night running
Got it assembled and she wouldn't stop taking the turrets off the top
 Building marble runs:

We watched the movie "How to Train Your Dragon 2" in the afternoon. After dinner we went downtown Caldwell to the Indian Creek to see the light display and walk around a bit. It was pleasant outside and it was nice to get out of the house:

Merry Christmas!
