Fun With Cousins

For Presidents Day weekend, my brother Scott and his family came to visit us in Utah. We all met on Sunday at Jason's house and enjoyed pure chaos for 36 hours straight :)

For the most part, the kids cooperated pretty well and let us adults sit and talk while they played downstairs. Although, they did think that the men needed a little help playing chess.


Meals consisted of getting all of the kids fed, while they were eating we were dishing out our own food, then when they all left we could eat in peace.

We all thought my mom would be so proud because we even had a centerpiece. Baby Claire likes to sit in the middle of the table while everyone is eating. Personally, she's the cutest centerpiece I've ever seen!!


Sunday night we hung out downstairs and let the kids play. They practiced baseball (until Claire got hit smack in the head by her brother Nathan (the one in the orange):

We brought out the microphone and let the kids experiment with funny voices (I don't know who was having more fun, the kids or their Uncle Scott!)

And just enjoyed being together. There were 9 (and a half) kids. The 4 boys were all born in the same year, so they're all turning 3. This was the first time all 4 of them have been together at the same time.


There was still a bunch of snow on the ground Monday morning, so my kids FINALLY got to go sledding (probably the first and only time this year!) Marc was a trooper and stayed out with all of them for nearly two hours! Tyler and Bryce loved it! They couldn't get enough of going down the hill. Their cousins had fun taking turns going down with them and helped carry the sleds back up the hill. After sledding, we ate lunch, cleaned up the house and then went to this Kangaroo Zoo jump place. It's a big warehouse full of inflatable toys/slides/bouncers/etc. It was so packed!! The kids all had a blast. I think us adults would have loved it too if we had been able to go play like that. By the end, they were all absolutely dragging, so it was a good time to say goodbye and let everyone sleep on the ride home. We are so happy to live near so many cousins and can't wait to get together with them all real soon. :)
