YMCA Family Camp

Marc's parents had a wedding in Seattle on July 1st, and then hopped down to Boise for a few days to come see us. Marc picked them up at the airport, drove them to my parents' ward and met the kids and me there. We changed at my parents then drove to Horsethief Reservoir which is right near Cascade. These pictures are in no particular order. I just don't want to spend the time putting them in chronological order!

We saw the zip line on the first day and instantly wanted to do it, but the line got really long, really fast. So we mapped out what time we needed to be at the zip line start the next day and made sure we were first in line. Bob went first, then me, then Marc. The worst part for me was climbing up the ladder to the top of the pole to start, and then letting go of the rope on the way down so I could slow down.
Here are the cabins we stayed in. What a treat! They are new, have two private showers and dressing areas, two toilets, and two sinks. They sleep 14-16 campers on bunk beds. We shared the cabin with another family that Marc works with at the Y. They have 3 kids that are our kids' ages. They had a lot of fun together, but the nights were long!! Lexi really struggled sleeping with other people in the room.
They had a rocket building craft, and with a lot of help from Daddy, Grandma & Grandpa, all 3 kids were fashioned with their own rockets to launch.

One of the kids' favorite things about camp, was this water trampoline. We had to help swim them out to it, but all 3 loved it and couldn't stop laughing & smiling.
We all went canoeing. Here's Bryce & Tyler with their Grandma & Grandpa:
There was a rock climbing station where the kids could climb unharnessed up to the top, and slide down a tunnel slide to get down.
Lexi was not to be left out of anything. My heart was jumping out of my chest as she was climbing up the very top:

My nieces and nephews were up at family camp as well, but they were in tents. We bumped into them several times a day. All 3 of our families enjoyed the sidewalk chalk art time:
Happy 4th of July! Our first full day of camp was the 4th. We took this picture before their white shirts went brown from all the dirt :)

We walked and walked and walked! The kids were exhausted and by the 2nd full day, it was difficult to keep them off our shoulders. We love that Bryce & Lexi are holding hands in this picture:

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at family camp! The only complaint we had was our daughter not sleeping at night!! We are not opposed to going again next year, especially if we have Grandma and Grandpa to help with the kids :D
