Hanging out with Grandma & Grandpa

The kids have loved being in Cincinnati with their grandparents and cousins, Jacob & Jared (ages 6 & 3). Jacob & Jared have come down several days/nights to come play. They love trains just as much as our boys, but they are also really into playing firefighters. (Marc's brother Joe recently became a firefighter, so I think he's their new hero). Here's Tyler & Jacob dressed up, and the boys wearing their "tats" from Uncle Joe:

The day after we went to the zoo, Tyler woke up with this funky rash all over his chin/mouth/cheeks. Several hours later we were finally able to get him some Benadryl, and that helped clear it up. I think it might have been an allergic reaction to the sunscreen he used at the zoo?? I don't know, at least it went away!

The boys got to help Grandpa "control" the burning he was doing in the backyard. They did an excellent job of "controlling" the hose so it sprayed Grandpa and each other.

Lexi is usually so content and happy, unless she sees that everyone else is eating and she's not....then she'll pitch a fit until someone gives her something to eat. We've resorted to pizza sauce, pickles, water, lemonade, and waffle fries to temporarily satisfy her. She is MOBILE now. She can get up on all 4's and thrust herself forward. When she gets tired of that, she'll just roll around the room. The twins were pretty late crawlers, so this is so new for me. I'm just not ready for my baby girl to grow up so fast! I told Bryce today, that his life as he knows it is now over! His little sister is about to become a major pest as she gets into all their toys and ruins what they're playing with. He was so funny this morning. Lexi was creeping towards the blocks he was playing with, so he launched himself in front of them to stop her. It worked for a few minutes, she chewed on him for a little bit then crawled around him anyway. Time will tell how much longer they will adore their baby "godzilla"sister.

The boys had a fun time making cookies with Grandma. They love to help in the kitchen and get their hands dirty. I need to find some fun recipes to play around with to really let them get into cooking a bit more.
