Our Little Birthday Girl

Well, after two days of festivities, we have successfully celebrated Lexi's first birthday. Marc turned our family room into a "white room" and we did a little photo shoot with the Birthday Girl.
I can't believe how absolutely adorable she looks with her hair in pigtails:

Just like on Christmas, she was totally uninterested in opening the presents. We unwrapped all of them for her:
Lexi got lots of books, which one of the best presents if you ask me because they last so long, and are enjoyed over and over:
She also received a new outfit and some new shoes:
Tyler & Bryce were beyond excited to give Lexi their gift, the Drop & Roar Dinosaur that they played with when they were her age:
We had a party with cousins and grandparents where we ate pizza, and enjoyed cake & ice cream:

Check out this Rainbow Cake! I saw it on one of my friend's blogs and thought it was one of the neatest things, so the boys helped me make it. They kept telling me "Mom, this is the BEST CAKE EVER!!" They were very proud that they had "made the birthday cake"
Lexi & the rest of our family, even got to go to a Boise State Basketball game on her birthday. Marc was given tickets through his work. We were able to sit next to my parents (who hold "lifetime seats"), and we all had a blast! The kids loved the music, cheerleaders, the crowd, clapping for the team when they scored baskets, and even got to eat popcorn with Grandpa. It was a late night, but the kids all did great. We're looking forward to the next season where the boys will probably get to have individual outings with Grandma & Grandpa to the games.

And following tradition, we had our own little "cake smash" shoot too. I'll post pictures and a video in the next post.

So its been busy! We're tired, but happy to have this opportunity to celebrate this milestone in our daughter's life.
