The best thing about Lexi's cake smash, was that her cake was FREE! Albertsons offers a free "first birthday" 8" round cake. It's nothing that they advertise, but if you go ask anyone at the bakery, the'll confirm it. I've heard other stores do first birthday cakes too, so if you have a little one with a birthday coming up, definitely ask the bakery at your local store, you never know what you might find!

So we got everything set up, put her down and let her go to town. She raced over to the cake immediately,
Then looked up at us, like are you sure I can do this??
She then proceeded to pick off every frosting balloon and eat them:
Then she decided to have a little cake with her frosting:
She was a much cleaner eater than we expected, but she accidentally stepped in the cake and kept trying to kick it off her foot:

Here's one little happy princess, who was even happier when she was put in the bathtub and got everything cleaned off her. What a fun time!

I love love love the cake smashing. I always looked forward to when my kids got to have the first birthday cake. They all loved their cake except for Noah and Addyson. That's weird huh. Kids not liking cake. It looks like Lexi loved her cake and it looks like she had a great birthday.
