Halloween Shindig

Since our camera is broken, I've been relying on other people's pictures of us and fortunately our friends sent these to us without me even having to ask!!

We were invited to a "Halloween Shindig" at our friends' Katie & Ryan's house last Friday. We made homemade pizzas, ate apples and carmel dip and indulged in Halloween sweets! The kids got to look for "buried treasure"(there was a bunch of toys hidden in a big thing of oatmeal) us adults even got to play a game where you roll dice and try to get doubles or a 7 and if you do, you use a straw to suck m&m's out of a big bowl and try to put them in your own little bowl. I soon became too lightheaded to continue playing! And to end the evening the kids all went downstairs while witches and ghosts were hidden upstairs then the lights were turned off and the kids all had little flashlights and got to come up and look for the witches and ghosts which were bags with little treats in them. Bryce still talks about the "ghosts in the kitchen" and how he found them. It was a great evening and we were pleasantly surprised that the kids played so well together on their own and we got to have some adult conversation and get to know each other a lot better.

That sounds like a fun party! I am always thrilled when my boys play well with other kids that come over. Luckily they have gotten along with all kids so far!
