The rest of Christmas Break

The day after Christmas, we went to workout at the gym, went swimming, then changed into snow clothes to go sledding down the hills in Draper Park. It was just small enough to get Isabel up and down easily and long enough to wipe out the other kids.

On the 30th, we drove up to Boise for a wedding. Samantha Ward, one of the young women in our ward in Caldwell, was getting married and had invited us to her sealing. My brother Jason was out of town and they let us stay at their house. We appreciated having the space to decompress and beds for the kids to sleep in. It was the first time Marc and I had been to a sealing in the Boise Temple since our own. That was kind of a special thing. It wasn't the same sealing room since the re-dedication of the temple, but brought back lots of fun memories for us. The boys got to go to a Boise State basketball game with my Dad while the girls and Marc and I went to Caldwell for the reception. We stopped by the Sorenson's for a very quick visit afterwards. The next day we got to get together with Sarah and Steve Tolman, who were also in town. We met at Carl's Jr. and just chatted while the kids played in the play area. We could have visited for hours. It was great to catch up while we could. So grateful to have friends like that, where we can just pop in and out of each other's lives, yet it feels like no time has passed since the last time we were together.

We got to meet our new nephew, Gunner Scott Galloway. He's a little sweetheart. We all enjoyed holding him and loving on him. We were able to get together one night to play cards with Scott and Codi.

Isabel got a new outfit from Grandma and Grandpa Glutz for Christmas. She looks too incredibly grown up and absolutely adorable in this picture:

Winter time in Suncrest has been snow, snow, and more snow. The piles from the snow blower and plows are taller than us. We discovered we could sled down the stairs off the deck, and the kids asked if they could jump off the balcony of the deck into the snow. We got the boys involved in snow removal this year. It was harder than they thought it would be.

 When Lexi jumped, the snow was up to her waist and she got stuck!

 We're ok with the snow for now. It's very peaceful and still to be up here in Suncrest.
