Merry Christmas!

We had a beautiful, simple Christmas this year. I'm so grateful we were using both cameras to take pictures this year. I'm sad that we lost all the videos, but at least we have the pictures that Marc took to help us remember. 

I'm pretty sure Lexi was the first one up, who in turn woke up Isabel who had the sweetest little "Did Santa come?" voice ever. 

Opening stockings, we had special Nauvoo toys, some candy, an orange and an ornament inside. 

Lexi asked for a scarf for Christmas. Check! I made the girls a pioneer bonnet and apron. Lexi got a barbie car from Santa and Isabel got a Mickey puzzle. Bryce asked for a watch. Tyler asked for a remote control helicopter. They both were begging for a hamster. I didn't want to deal with trying to hide a hamster before Christmas, so we got them a cage and said we'd get the real thing after we got home from Boise (in January). 

Each of us had a "Secret Someone" for the month of December. We did nice things for that person all month, but to try and avoid getting caught, it meant that when we did something nice for one person, we did nice things for others too. There were all sorts of acts of love going on all month. The kids got to pick out a present for their secret person and that was the most exciting thing for them, was watching the person who they had open their present. 

We saved one more box behind the tree for all 4 kids. As the kids opened it up, Olaf rose up with some cards attached to him for each kid.  

It told them they were going to Disneyland! Not until March, but they were going!

We got each kid these personalized blankets. They love them and helped us get in the mood for all things Disney :)

After presents, we ate our Blueberry French Toast breakfast. The kids played with toys, watched Christmas movies and did a lot of hanging out. It snowed pretty heavy on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, we were pretty glad we didn't have to be anywhere and could just sit and stay warm all day. We played some games, I made a big ham dinner that night. We talked with family far away. It was a Merry Christmas indeed!
