Christmas Eve seemed so different this year. It was weird doing everything on our own.
I think we started out the morning at the gym. Afterwards, we got smoothies. The boys had both finished their workouts for a free smoothie and got to redeem theirs.
Then we went to Walmart for a couple of things for meals that I had forgotten. We had a yummy lunch at home, relaxed a little bit and then met up with the Harris family to help deliver Christmas Presents. Our ward had sponsored several refugee families for Christmas and we got to go help deliver to one family. Our van, and the Harris's SUV were packed. When we first got there, nobody answered. We waited, walked around a little bit to see if we could drop them off somewhere (it was on the West Side of Salt Lake, so didn't really want to have to come back!) Marc knocked a little bit, looked in the window, and noticed there was someone home. We insistently pounded again, and a teenage boy came to the door looking very confused. We filled their living room area with all the gifts and then left.
It was evening by the time we got home. We made homemade pizzas for dinner. I had the table looking all pretty with white table cloth, red candles, and a Christmas Floral arrangement from Costco. We had Egg Nog or Punch to drink.
After dinner we had Family Home Evening.
Here's Isabel leading us in song:
Marc reading Luke 2
Opening Christmas Eve Jammies:
Cheese!
All cuddled up watching "Elf"
And all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse
