Hogle Zoo

The kids had some time off of school in October, so we took a trip up to Hogle Zoo, in Salt Lake. It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed ourselves. I haven't taken Isabel to the zoo very many times, she was pretty amazed at seeing all the different animals and was very interested in everything around her. 

We first saw the giraffes. 

All around the zoo was these robotic dinosaurs that moved and made sounds and you really thought they were real. It was creepy/cool. 

I think we climbed on about every animal statue in the park. 

I think this dinosaur sprayed water, the boys loved it. 

 The elephant plays music and sporadically sprays water out its trunk. 

 We got there just in time to watch the elephants with the trainers. It was really cool and all of the kids were so excited about seeing the elephants so up close and doing tricks and such.

We stayed and watched the sea lions for quite a bit because they were swimming right up next to us in the glass. Isabel was especially entranced. 

The polar bear on exhibit came from the Cincinnati Zoo! We thought it would have been really cool if we had seen it there before!

We saw almost all the animals. Spent a great day, enjoyed the weather, walked and walked and walked! 

After the zoo, we went to the Arctic Circle right by Daddy's work and met up with him to have an ice cream before heading home. I would say it was a successful outing :)
