Father's Day Weekend

Last weekend, we went up to Fruit Heights to stay with my nieces and nephew while their parents went up to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. We had nonstop fun/crazy/chaos and all of us were quite exhausted by Sunday night!! The boys had so much fun playing with their cousins, especially Nathan who is the same age. They jumped on the trampoline, played in the sandbox, dressed up and played pirates, helped me bake cookies, and enjoyed all the cool toys that Nathan has.

We had 6 kids in total (Jason & Jen took baby Claire with them). My day-to-day things didn't change, but everything was just bigger and crazier! Bigger messes, more food to prepare, quadruple the amount of dishes to clean up, three times noiser, etc.

For Father's Day, we made Marc breakfast in bed, but Tyler was so upset that he wasn't eating with the rest of us, that Marc ended up eating with us anyway. Jason was competing in an Iron Man (Swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles, and run 26.2 miles) We were able to track his progress (here) and watch some live feed from the event, we were pretty sure we saw him coming out of the bike transition, but it was kind of hard to tell with the 2200 participants! He finished in 11 hours 20 minutes, very impressive! We were all super proud of him, even though most of us think he's nuts for for doing it! lol. My parents were able to come up that afternoon. We ate dinner together, watched all the kids play for awhile and then Marc & I got our family gathered up and hit the road, while Mom & Dad stayed behind until Jason & Jen arrived the next day.

It was a crazy weekend, but we had a lot of fun! Now Marc & I need to plan where we want to escape to for a weekend so we can have the favor returned :) Any suggestions??
