12th Anniversary

Marc and I celebrated our 12th Anniversary this year!

For Christmas, our parents both helped chip in to get us tickets to see "Wicked" when it came to Boise. We've been eagerly waiting for it to get here. Our tickets were for Friday, May 2nd, so near the end of the tour here in Boise. Both of us were super excited to go see it, and finally the big night arrived.

My Mom & Dad watched the kids for us. We hit an early dinner at a nice restaurant called "Bela Aquila". We got to sit out on the Patio which overlooks the Boise River. The weather was gorgeous! We always try to be adventurous when we go to fine dining. We started off with a mushroom and polenta appetizer. It was tasty, and this is coming from a girl who doesn't voluntarily eat mushrooms!We both decided that if the mushrooms and sauce were on top of a steak, that it would be amazing. For our entree's, Marc ordered Veal, and I ordered a Seafood Risotto. He won for tastiest meal. Mine was ok. I probably wouldn't order it again.

For desserts, we ordered cannoli and a carmel turtle pie. They were super tasty, but we were so full, we only took a bite or two out of each.

We stopped by my parent's house so that I could feed Isabel before going to the show. The show didn't start until 8, so it was going to be a late night. Here's a picture of us before the show started:

We LOVED the musical! It was so well done. The music was great, the story was engaging and creative, the humor was fun. Marc wants to take the kids next time it comes to Boise. If only it weren't so expensive, I'd totally be up for it! We would definitely recommend it! Made us want to attend "cultural" activities more often :)
