4th of July floating the river

The 4th of July kind of crept up on us this year! We decided to float down the Boise River with my brothers and their families.

Here's all the kids getting ready to go. We have a similar picture taken 3 years ago, crazy how fast time flies!

 Lexi (who was so much happier in the boat wearing a life jacket than she was last year, thank heavens!)

 Our rower/ river guide:

 Along the river there's a rope swing that some of the older kids were begging to do.

We decided to stop and watch them, and before long Tyler was asking if he could have a turn too.

 He jumped in flip flops and all!

 Bryce was not to be out done:

 Boat jumping is the cool thing to do down the river, we never knew who was going to end up in our raft!

 Even Scott & Codi's partially deflated raft didn't stop the kids from piling on it!

 Unfortunately, the brother who parked at the bottom of the river, left his keys in the car of my brother who was parked at the top. So, what would normally be about a 40 minute wait to get the cars back down at takeout took about 2 hours. At least there was a park and water fountain nearby to entertain the kids, it was the crowds that nearly did me in! It was the same park that they were lighting off fireworks that night so there was tons of people there!We finally managed to get the kids to my parents house to let them rest a little bit before part two!
