Cincinnati Highlights

We flew out to Cincinnati on Christmas Day and arrived late that night. The kids were ecstatic to be in Cincinnati with their cousins and grandparents. Every morning the kids fed the 3 ducks that have been somewhat adopted and getting rather plump with all the bread and left over snacks they get tossed either out the window, or hand delivered to them.

The biggest hit of the trip was the go-kart even though it was quite temperamental. It was loved by adults and kids alike.

This is Lexi with her cousin Kayte. After driving the go-kart together, they were the best of friends.

The Red Train. The infamous "red train" with my boys. It's the only thing they talk about when it comes to the Cincinnati Zoo. The entire family went to the Festival of Lights so all the kids could ride the red train. The animals were all sleeping, and the polar bear was green?? We didn't see him at first because he blended into the rocks. We didn't stay long after riding the train and enjoyed some yummy pizza back at the house.

It rained A LOT while we there. This didn't stop the diehards from being entertained on the go-kart. They were worried about it dieing while they stopped to switch drivers, so they had this rotation down where the passenger would jump out, the driver would switch seats and the new driver would jump in, it was pretty impressive.

One of the days was spent playing paintball. We had a great view from the windows as the boys and Nikki battled it out.

The kids got to go roast marshmallows and eat smores.

After smores, Tyler & Bryce got to go have a sleep over with their cousins, Jacob & Jared. They had a blast together and I'm glad they got to have some time just being together and being boys.

We also enjoyed taking the kids bowling, eating Graeters Icecream, playing at the Rainbow/Step2 showroom, and staying up playing games with Marc's family.

We left late on Friday night and flew 3 very sleepy children (and parents) back to Boise. We could have used some extra hands just to carry the kids off the planes. They were troopers, and Tyler insisted on carrying his backpack and rolling his suitcase the entire time

It was great to see everyone, sad that we live so far away now and the kids don't get to get together with their other cousins and grandparents as much.
