Birthday Girl!

Friday March 4th, our little girl turned 2!! Our little Alexis Anne is definitely sugar and SPICE. A ball of energy with a definite mischievous streak, yet an incomparable snuggly sweetness. Here's little Lou on her birthday morning. I tried to convince her she could have crepes or pancakes or eggs and she demanded cereal. Silly girl!We went to the zoo with some of Lexi's cousins and we had a great time! The weather was pleasant enough and the kids had a fun time running around with each other. This is a fun one with all of the kids. Poor Lexi was having a coughing fit the entire time we were trying to take the picture. This is the best we could get in between coughs!

We were looking at something else when Marc said, "Jewels, run! Get over here now!" I ran over with the kids and we were able to get a shot nose to nose with one of the Lions.
All of the kids enjoyed the slides, but especially this little girl!
Cake Time! My parents have been in the middle of moving to a new house. (They just moved into the ward we moved out of). My mom asked if we could have cake & icecream at her house since she couldn't really celebrate with us otherwise. So we stopped by after the zoo for lunch, cake & presents. Here's Lexi when we were singing "Happy Birthday".
Opening Presents! This was definitely a pink frilly day for her. I had a little too much fun getting a few things for her.

Following tradition, Lexi got a special picture book of her first year. I give each of the kids their own "book" that goes from Birthday-Birthday of the previous year. I write them a letter on the first page and they usually average 100 pages with 500+ pictures. The boys love going through their books and it's something that I enjoy doing for them. These books have replaced my huge 3" binder scrapbooks and has been a great way of keeping track of the fun things they do and say.
What a day! We even got home to find a special package from Grandma & Grandpa Glutz that had some new outfits for Lexi which is always a treat! My baby girl is 2! Wow. Time just keeps marching on.
