Labor Day

On Monday, Marc's parents took the family to King's Island to play for the day. We started out with breakfast then prepared ourselves to enjoy the rides with full, uncomfortable bellies. Last year, the little boys let the adults ride a few rides before we all headed over to kiddie land. However, this year Tyler & Bryce thought that they needed to ride all of the adult rides too and cried and screamed until we got them on a ride of their own. They started on the carousel then waited in line for the little "giggle coaster." Two year olds don't understand that they have to WAIT in line....Tyler kept trying to cut in front of every one and would get so sad when we'd pull him back in line. After meeting the height requirement, they finally got to ride the roller coaster and both boys had the biggest grins on their faces! 20 seconds later it was over and time to wait in another line. We have two little thrill seekers, they loved every ride they went on and the faster it went, the better. Every ride was too short for Tyler, he'd cry every time it stopped and we had to peel him away promising another ride. When the lines started to get too long, and the weather too hot, we went over to the water park. Marc and his brother Chris hit the water slides and Grandpa and I took the boys to the kiddie areas where they got to go down some slides and splash and play in the water. They had life jackets on and soon learned they could lay on their bellies and "walk" on their hands--it was pretty cute. We finally met with all of our group and left to go eat (4:00 in the afternoon and no lunch, we were starved!!) I think the boys were asleep in the car two seconds after it started up, they were exhausted!! All in all it was a great day. I was a little bummed that I couldn't ride any roller coasters (summer time is not the greatest to be pregnant!) but it was fun watching the kids and everyone else have so much fun.
