18 Months & Loving Life!

Our little squirt is 18 months old! Good Golly, how did that happen? These last 6 months have gone entirely way too fast, but when it came to Sundays, it hasn't come fast enough! lol. Being 18 months, Lexi can officially go to Nursery!!! Hallelujah! We went to church to pace the halls with her, stuff her full of snacks to try and keep her quiet, and didn't spend much time paying attention to the person talking because we're trying to keep her entertained and semi-happy. But today, we were able to drop her off after sacrament meeting and let her play with the other kids in nursery until it was time to pick her up :D
One word to describe Lexi: TROUBLE. This girl is nothing but trouble! She thinks she's a 4 year old and is starting to throw tantrums just like one. She is constantly getting into things, and now climbs to reach spots that were once safe, essentially leaving me with nowhere to stash the things I keep taking away from her. Her favorite rooms to ransack are the kitchen and my bathroom. At least I can close the door to keep her out of the bathroom, but its amazing how destructive she can be in a matter of seconds.

Lexi is a complete girly girl. I don't know where this child came from, because I am definitely not one! She is obsessed with shoes. She loves to wear other people's shoes, as much as her own. Once she wakes up in the morning and sees her shoes, she brings them to us and insists that we put them on, even if its over the top of her pajamas. She lights up around shoes, gets this big old grin and yells out "sh-ooo-s!"


She loves jewelry. If I'm wearing a necklace she wants to wear it, or if Marc is wearing a watch, she wants to wear it as a bracelet. And the more pieces she has to wear, the better. My friend Kristen recently gave Lexi her own purse that was full of necklaces and bracelets, Lexi was in Heaven! She just sat there putting every single piece on her, then would look at us with a big old smile and say "Pwetty! Pwetty!" She even did a little happy dance with all her pretties on, it was priceless.
We love how she wants to do everything like her brothers, it just makes us laugh. She wakes up in the morning and if she's not asking for mama, its "BYCE!!" or "LY-LEH!" If they aren't awake when she gets up, and she happens to escape into the hall, she'll go into their room and scream "HI" to them right in their faces until they get the point.

Our little miss absolutely adores her Daddy, or "DA-da!" Every time Marc walks in the door from work or from being gone, she will run up to him scream "da-da" and give him a big hug. Its usually followed by a beeline to her highchair because she knows that when daddy comes home, we usually eat dinner. It's fair to say that the pair are most definitely smitten with each other.
