3 years old

Can my boys really be 3 years old already? It seems like just yesterday that they had just come into our family:

But alas, they are officially 3 and have the attitudes to prove it!

We had two birthday celebrations last week. My parents came down to visit my Grandma Galloway, so they got to party with us. One of the gifts they gave to the twins was a T-Ball set, my mom wasted no time showing them how to use it!

After playing outside, everyone came in for cake. Party hats were adorned by all:

Each boy was sung to and had their chance to blow out their own candles.

And cake was thoroughly enjoyed:

On their real birthday, May 8th, we got to meet some friends of ours at the Hogle Zoo. Ann & Daxton Anderson met us there, as well as Brad, Wendy, Walker & Kate Christopherson. We became friends with them in Cincinnati, and since then, all of us have moved to Utah. We saw a few of the animals. It was hard to corral all of the little boys long enough to really see many animals. But we enjoyed a picnic lunch, watching the bird show, riding the carousel, and just laughing at the little boys having so much fun together.

We let the boys pick out their birthday cake.....and came home with this lovely Cookie Monster cake. We had barely sat down to eat when the doorbell rang, and two of the boys' nursery leaders came in with individual star cakes for each of them. We needed a little back up support in getting rid of so much cake, so we enlisted the help of our friends the Eliasons.

The boys enjoyed opening up presents. They got their own t'shirts with pictures of themselves from Grandma & Grandpa Glutz:

We made good work of the blue cake before throwing it away. Nothing like having EVERYTHING dyed blue!

All in all, it was a simple, fun filled day and everyone was absolutely exhausted by the end of it. The boys are excited to be 3. It'll be interesting to see what this year brings. Happy Birthday Tyler & Bryce! We sure love you and are so glad that you decided to be part of our family.
